Just so you know, those are V-brakes; cantilever brakes have a "Y" shape, and use a center pull design.

It only takes one bonk on a medium/long ride to learn to always carry too much water/food if you're going for an adventure ride. 3L Camelback, FULL. Extra snacks. Leave even more stuff in the car. Cold Creek doesn't mess around.

My friend and I did the Tarbell loop after riding from stabler planning on camping at rock creek. My friend broke her niner frame in half and we had to walk about 7 miles down the descent to the camp ground at 3 am. I was on a fully loaded specialized rock combo 26”. It was pretty rough.

I was out for a 300km ride with sugarwater, dried fruit, bananas and some other sweets. During the day I only eat sweet food to avoid fats and protein and get as many carbs as possible. Unfortunately, at about the 9th hour mark something switched inside of me. I fell disgust towards anything sweet (including electrolyte drinks, juices and soft drinks). Last two hours were hard and I had to drink just plain water and eat crisps and some other savoury pastries. Did the ride in 11 hours on the saddle. What I learned: if you're going for really long rides, you have to have a good balance between sweet and savoury food. You can't rely only on dried fruit, gels, sugar and staff. Some real food goes a long way. Especially if you're a heavy, salty sweater. You have to have some salty food.

For those of us that have been around since the late 70s this isn't necessarily new but it's nice to see a manufacturer get on board. Guys have been tinkering at bike shops for years. Especially if you exist on the fringe. Seems like a great option!

here s my bonk story, but with running: i was running my 42km first time with training plan by asics mobile app. It was great training plan, but no tips about BONKING. And, after 26st kilometer i started to feel myself so bad, i was so hungry, so i run to grocery store and buy 2 chocolate bars and eat it on run. I have completed my run, but after 1 hour i have come home i have a fever (39 celsius) and my body shakes like i was electrisized. Keep drinking and eating, guys.

Love the videos. You got me into gravel with my hot pink Canyon. My only beef with this video is that I don't think the Cutthroat would feel anything like a grown up BMX bike. I've ridden various bikes single speed, and it took my Surly Lowside to really get that feel for the bikes I rode as a kid.
